The New Year...

I am thinking that the new year better start kicking in something good. I can officially say that I am glad to see '08 gone. With Harvey still unemployed and the bills not going away I am done with it all. It sure is frustrating. I guess that I will just have to have faith that something will come along. It will all work out as it always does. The waiting for it to all work out is not so fun at all.

One great thing that has happened so far in '09. One of my best friends in the whole world (who sadly lives far far away) Christi, had a brand new baby boy yesterday. He is perfect. His name is Casey and he was just over 8 lbs. I know that I won't get to see him for a few months at least, but I can't wait to see her again and meet little Casey. Congrats Christi and Charlie!!!

Harvey and I have been spending a lot of time metal detecting, and hanging out together, it's been a blast. Since we both have detectors and it's free to go, why not. It's a lot of fun. We got some of the things that we had found in the past out of storage last night. We were wanting to catalog and take pictures of them, and we couldn't believe how many really cool things there actually are! Buttons and buckles and coins and jewelry. It's amazing. I will have to put up some pictures when we get them done.

Harvey and I were planning to take a Vacation this year for our 6 year anniversary. Hopefully he will find some work and we will still be able to. We would be flying to Pennsylvania to see Harveys friends Tim and Lori and their 2 kids. Then we would go down to Maryland to see Christi and Charlie and their new baby. Followed by a drive down to Virginia to see the family that I nannied for 8 years ago, and we would metal detect all over and hopefully find some really cool relics to add to our growing collection. I hope that it all works out and we can still go. Since we never really got a real honeymoon and have never taken a vacation besides to go camping. I think that we both deserve it.

I was reading my friend Kristins blog today and she was saying that she is not making resolutions this year because chances are she won't follow through. I have to say that I officially agree. Why make resolutions when everyone just breaks them anyway. It really is a good idea to change your life for the better, but why not have April resolutions or July resolutions? Or better yet why not decide to change and not call it a resolution at all? After all resolutions were made to be broken.
